It was a cold and wet night in Newcastle but those who were able to attend experienced the unique venue of the United Service Club as well as a very interesting and detailed tech talk presented by David Lamotte titled, "Know Your Yeast".

During our June 2025 Meeting, Michael Barwell gave a talk on Porter.

Following the talk, we all tasted a variety of porters and stouts.

Our April HUB challenge involves brewing a beer that contains inverted ('candi') sugar.

Grant gave an interesting talk about his experience with digital hydrometers.  He was speaking about his experience with self-building an iSpindel.  In his talk he discussed alternatives on the market, pros/cons of both as well as how he has found himself using his iSpindel to inform his homebrew.
