About the event
We at Hunter United Brewers enjoy meeting up discussing all things beer. We meet the 3rd Friday of every Month at Hamilton North Bowling Club. Please come and join us! Members usually start arriving from 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start. There are meals available at the venue.
Each meeting is structured around three main sections:
1. Club Business/News
The first section of the meeting is usually presented by the club president outlining up-coming events, updates on club activities etc. This is the formal 'business' section of the monthly meeting.
2. Tech Talk
This month, Craig Grant will be talking about some new technologies he's been playing with to better understand his brewing and fermentation process; the iSpindel and other wireless hydrometers. He'll be talking about various hardware options, their integrations with brewing software as well as how he uses them in his brewing processes.
3. Homebrew Feedback
During these sessions, we aim to provide constructive feedback on member's homebrewed beverages. This is totally optional and done in an 'opt in' manner. When you are starting out, sometimes you know that something isn't quite right, but you can't always put your finger on what it is. And, perhaps more importantly, what you might do to try and avoid it in future batches. These sessions can be a great opportunity for less experienced brewers/tasters to taste alongside more experienced brewers/tasters and learn about the craft of brewing.
