Oktoberfest at Club Merewether

Club Merewether (aka Merewether Bowlo) with the help of Hunter United Brewers is putting on their first ever Oktoberfest from 12pm to about 6pm.

Hunter United Brewers have helped them select a couple of authentic Bavarian beers to have on tap: Schneider Weisse Original Tap 7 Wheat Beer and the Aktien Landbier 1857 Helles.

HUB will be doing three presentations / tasting sessions throughout the day, taking people on a tasting journey with these two beers and an additional Hofbrau Festbier.

Please let us know if you can help out in these sessions – we will have a lead presenter for each session but will need help with pouring beers etc - especially helpful will be those with an RSA.

Club Merewether is a small, community-run club that has supported HUB over the last two years with free use of their meeting room and facilities, so please encourage your family and friends to come along to support this event. The music from Harald (aka Rockordian) will be superb based on his performances from recent years at the Grain Store. The team from FireFlies will be making German food – pretzels, bratwurst, pork knuckles and other options. The beer will also be pretty special.
